Little cool and windy going to visit Daddy at work and the grocery store so wearing my little baby jacket.
I've been putting him up in the front like a big boy. Some days and carts work better than others. The belts end up right under his arms so it holds him up pretty well. Sometimes he starts leaaaaaaaaning to the one side and I just prop him a little. If we're close to naptime and I'll be browing more than shopping, then I'll keep him in the carseat and he'll usually fall asleep as I walk around.

You can't tell, but he has his hands on mine trying to eat the camera.
This last week, he's really taken to solids. We'de been trying for a couple weeks. Not too much interest but it helped to rule out reactions for some of the basics. Now he'll open his mouth and lean towards the spoon (causing food to be up his nose or in his eyebrow). Sometimes we get kicks and grabbing at the spoon. He loves peas the most. He doesn't mind the rice or oatmeal cereals and prefers the food a little thicker than a lot of the gerber 1st steps foods. They are really runny, so I put a bit of cereal in it and it works better. He likes it.
Bananas? After carrots (the bright orange gives the carrots away.) I am not sure. heh
He still watches us eat as he pretends to chew, but he's stopped crying while I eat. heh He's also back to sleeping a bit better. He started getting up every night at least twice after sleeping min 8hrs for 6wks. Since he's eating more, he actually slept 10hrs the other night before eating and back to sleep for 2 more. I don't mind the early morning feeding after 8-10hrs.
I do miss the all breastmilk poops, though. *sigh* It's only going to get worse, too.

No picture today. It was our 4 yr wedding anniversary today. We spent it refusing to cook. heh.
It's been rough week with little Ted. He's teething hardcore (if the rubbing of the toys on gums so hard they squeek and DROOL are signs) and has just taken to yelling. All day. We go to put him in the infant chair and he starts arching his back and whining and then yelling. Repeat for playpen, floor, our arms. He seems to slowly be coming out of it. Night sleeping has gotten close to normal (11-12hrs with an occasional 4am snack, sometimes another one.) Naps are another story. Once I can get him on a schedule, we'll work on getting him into the crib.
He's been watching me eat for weeks and the last couple he's been moving his mouth like he's chewing while I eat. Kinda funny except now he's starting to whine when I eat. It may be the aforementioned putting him down, in his chair, playpen, etc so I *can* eat. I've tried a couple solids (dr said whenever and if he didn't seem full enough in evenings) and he's doing ok. Some days he's up for it (but doesn't get to OPEN HIS MOUTH ALL THE WAY- but he does that to ME,too, on occasion) and others he's all "Whatever, go away."
He really has ramped up the babble and the rasberry has made a return. Now with more spit and tongue! It's really funny. I'll try to get the video of it uploaded to share. If you're carrying him, he'll do it and spray the side of your face with spit.
Hopefully, the crankiness will subside soon and I can have the happy babling baby back full time. :)

Dave couldn't help himself and had to go out and get him this little activity center today. He is, of course, about 3-4in too short to reach the platform. He holds himself up pretty well, but we stuff a blanket in with him to help because of the tiny factor. At first, he was all "Huh?" but the second time he started looking at everything. Gets him out of the infant seat and we don't have to put the dogs out of the room and put him on the floor.

I think the teething has started in ernest. The drool has ramped up a bit but he is taking the teethers\fingers\my knuckles and rubs them back and forth against his bottom gums. Some of the teethers squeek when he does this. He can't get his hands working fast enough sometimes, so he'll move his head back and forth to get the gums rubbed. It's really quite pitiful.
