Happy Half Birthday, Mister!

Only photo I have but I have super cute ones that my brother should hopefully be sending me. He's been rocking and rolling all over. He only rolls one way, so he gets stuck and needs to be saved. It both amuses and annoys me.

His sleep is crap. Well, I think he's adjusting his bedtime later to 8-9pm. Not sure if we should fight it or let him do it. The naps are always crappy. The last couple days he won't go to sleep with any distractions. He hears Dave or my Dad's voice and he pops up to look around. I am sure crib sleeping will help but that's a mess. I put him down and he immediately CRIIIIEEEES.

He goes on the 24th for his 6 month visit. Wonder what low percentage he'll be in then. My little adorable baby.

We went to my old work for turkey lunch and visiting today. He was admired and passed around and cooed over. He was so tired from his busy day he actually slept in the car. For nearly 40 min! That's probably been the best nap last 3 days.

Yeah, that's a reach behind shot in the backseat mirror while driving. :) I swear I was stopped at a light.

The sky is falling!

Today, I was holding him as I tried to eat some pizza and he kept grabbing at it. He is constantly trying to get my pop when I'm holding him and is fascinated by the drinking and eating we do. He has been for weeks but has really been trying to share our food the last week or so. He's a good eater. I only feed him solids in the evenings right now. He goes "mmm..MMm..MM" as he eats. If he's real hungry, he'd still rather nurse.

I really should get better at updating this every day rather than every 5-7. I have the pics, of course. Just lazy. heh

He's eyeballing something... I've seen him move forward an inch or two. Rolls more willingly now. Be sitting there reading the paper tp all of a sudden feel a baby head on my foot. I had put him down 5 ft away.

Almost forgot the picture. This is how he also takes most of his naps.

The sleep is wearing us both out. Since the time change, he's been getting up earlier and earlier in the morning. Still going to bed at same time. Usually asleep by 7:30, up at 11:30-1am, then up around 4 to eat again. Then up for the day by 6am; I try to put him back down but it doesn't work. It's still dark! He used to sleep until 7:30-8:30. Then we has almost a schedule. Everything is crap right now. It's crying and eating and sleeping all day with 15-20min of non fussy, sleeping or eating thrown in there. I have less of an idea of how he'll be at a certain time then I did a month ago. It's frustrating to say the least.

It could be teething or maybe he's getting reflux or he's perfecting his physchological warfare tactics? It will get better. I just don't like it getting worse first. *sigh* That should explain how bad I look in that photo. heh

We tried no swaddling last night and after 3 hrs if crying almost immediately (with wails of 'maaaaaaaaaaaaaa maaaaaaaaaaaaaa' thrown in for psychological warfare) when I put him down, I gave in. He then slept almost 8hrs straight. I put him down, wrapped him up and he just looked around like "ahh" and went back to sleep. I'm just using the blanket so if he rolls, he'll break free. In the SwaddleMe, he had rolled over to stomach yesterday so we're doing a looser swaddle. This morning he woke up, kicked it off and decided to babble and chew on the corner while he waited for me to get him. heh
